Bench
An improv game that encourages development and commitment to a character.
One performer sits on a bench, waiting for the bus. A second performer enters and tries to interact with the first performer. The first performer is not to ignore them, they must acknowledge the second performer. When they feel it is too uncomfortable, or they feel the scene is not moving forward, they can say, “Here comes the bus,” and leave the scene. The person left is now the one to be approached by a new performer.
Options
Set what is to be achieved by the second performer - be annoying, disgusting, rude, creepy.
Have the first performer give a good excuse for leaving that fits what has been happening in the scene.
Allow the second performer to be more than one.
